Insurance Denied - Yay Delays
Well, as I've half been expecting, my first attempt to get insurance approval was slammed down. I don't have six consecutive months in the last year where I went into my doctor's office and said, "hey, how much do I weigh?" Because I'm not insane and she was monitoring my bloodwork and I was losing weight, she and I didn't think it so necessary to have me step on the scales on a regular basis to monitor my health.
So, now I'm waiting my six months and then gonna try it again. Not really six months. I got weighed in January (318) and I've got an appointment on Monday. In theory, I could be done with my six months of regular doctor supervised weigh-in's on June 1st and maybe get approval and a date for July. Otherwise, I might have to delay my internship a year, again, if I get it. Which my parents would be fine with, they want me to stay with my horrible state job for another year or two so that once I've lost the weight, I can get the skin all taken care of through insurance.
I'm just gonna take it one step at a time. This means that now I don't have to worry about missing any of my theatrical obligations. And soon, the time will be flown by and I'll be waiting impatiently by the phone to find out if I'm approved.
