Changing Feet

Okay. So, I've heard people talk about how they first start seeing the difference in their faces, or how their clothing fits. Me... My feet are changing. On both feet, flexing and not flexing, I just noticed a line, like a line of muscle, I don't know... a line. That line has never been there before. Ever. It's starts about 1.5 inches below my big toe, kinda on the side of my foot, and runs parrallel to the sole for about 3 inches. I think it's (puts on Austin Powers accent) "groovy baby."

In other news. The trip cross country was kinda rough. All my vitamins and supplements were packed away. I had a bowl of tuna/eggdrop soup in my backpack. I had two really fast connections to make in Denver and Atlanta. Good thing, I got plenty of exercise running between flights. Bad thing, I didn't drink nearly enough water, and was extremely naseous and lightheaded the whole trip. Then, get into Newark, and no luggage. Which means, no supplements or clothing. Yay.

All has arrived. But I haven't yet had a chance to get to the grocery store. No car, and working lots will do that. But, thankfully, my house had a box of food in it when I arrived that included a whole costco pack of tunafish. Yay for tuna! That's all I've had to eat for the last 3 days. And honestly. It doesn't get as tedious as chicken. Maybe I just like fish a whole lot more.

All I do is walk around here, its absolutely fabulous. Walk to and from work is (right now) about 15 minutes each way. Walk on errands, walk to lunch with office-mates, walk walk walk. It's great. And found out that a membership to the Princeton Uni Gym is only going to cost me $150 for a full year. They've got a swimming pool. So, soon as the last two scabs are healed up, I can start swimming again.

Odd things I've noticed. Occasionally, a sickly sweet smell seeps from my skin. Whenever this happens, if I can't make it go away, I get nauseous really easily. Which means drinking water, smelling odd things, or just breathing, makes me gag and get sick. At first, I thought it was the Proteinex causing this. I figured, if I ate sometime within an hour after drinking my proteinex, then I wouldn't get the smell. And for days, that worked. Then, on the airplane, when I hadn't HAD any proteinex, here comes that cursed sweet seeping smell. Ugg. So, I just drank more water and went to the happy place in the back of my mind hoping I wouldn't hurl on the woman with two kids seated in front of me. I didn't.

I didn't have the smell for a few days, and then it came back again last night. Lasted about two hours, and then went away. WHAT is this AWFUL AWFUL smell? and why does my skin seep it...? Uggh.

Had some problems with proteinex this morning. Drank half my glass, then barely made it to the sink before losing about 2 swallows. Finished the glass off and barely kept it down for the next hour and a half. Because I was trying to fight the urge to vomit, I didn't drink much. Started getting really lightheaded, and forced myself to drink water, which just made me feel even more naseous. It was a nasty viscious circle.

All in all though, I like not being hungry. I bought some new soy-protein powder today (peaches-n-cream) that I'm kinda looking forward to trying.

Blog-updates may be few and far between, because rehearsals start next week, and I'm gonna be busier than a one-legged clown on a trampoline.

Hey Tracy,

Good to hear you made it to Princeton okay. It's the same ole' crap going on here at APO.

Good luck on your new life and your future. Glad you are keeping us all updated with this Journal.
